While I am working on a couple of demonstrations, one idea was to use The Battle of Hastings over the top of the Historical Battle that you can participate in in Medieval II: Total War that is, yep, you guessed it, The Battle of Hastings.

Its taken a few full nights work and while Microsoft Movie Maker sucks a bit when it comes to export and synchronisation between production and final product, I did the best I could with the tools I had.

While my aim was to synchronise the music with the video, my aim was to represent key stages of the battle, including when the Normans looked to be retreating, only then for the Norman Knights to flank the Saxons and eventually win the battle.

One is a downtempo track that somehow gives me a nostalgic feeling, and another which is totally different to anything that I have done. I had tremendous fun with it – its action packed, in your face, and gave me the opportunity to play with my new workstation.
